My friend Nicole contacted me and asked if I would take her sister, Jessica's, senior/graduation photos. Of course, I agreed, and we decided to meet on campus for the photo session. With the quarantine finally coming to an end there were a ton of UT seniors out having their photos made. I did not attend the University of Tennessee, but I am from Knoxville so I am a huge Vols fan. Still, I am not super familiar with the campus so it was cool to be able to walk around and get a feel of what the students experience. UT really does have such a beautiful and historic campus.
Jessica is graduating this spring and hopes to pursue some sort of career in forensics. For the past few years she has worked in labs at UT and interned at the Body Farm. She is gorgeous, as you will see from the photos, and even more impressive, she is graduating with honors. Scroll to see some of my favorites from her senior session.
One year ago I started my business as a photographer in Knoxville, TN. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity to photograph so many amazing clients this year. From maternity sessions to births, weddings and engagements, and a ton of family sessions, I met so many lovely people this year and even made some really good friends. I can only hope that 2019 brings as many wonderful people into my life, and I can stay just as busy, if not more, as a photographer!
This year I discovered my photography style and really honed into how I like edit sessions. I appreciate so many of my clients sticking with me through this season of growth and learning. Below I have shared some of my favorite photos from 2018! Comment and let me know what your favorites are!
Some of you may know that I am from a small town on the Tennessee-Kentucky line named Jellico. I often get asked to photograph seniors and families from there, which is how I came to be asked to photograph Gage for his senior portraits. I was a little nervous because I had not ever taken a boy's senior photos, but they turned out great! He wanted to capture his love of basketball and other sports he plays, so we took some photos in the high school gym and locker rooms. We were also able to go to some land with a beautiful old barn to get some of the photos, where we incorporated his dog and his bible. Check out some of my favorites from Gage's senior session below!
I met Hayley when she was modeling for Bluetique, a boutique I often photograph for, and we immediately bonded. Hayley is a senior in Knoxville at Karns High School, and when she asked if I would take her senior photos I was so honored! Rarely do I meet an eighteen year old with such a good head on her shoulders! Her love for her family and her dedication to her faith is obvious whenever I talk to Hayley, and I admire how she already has such strong beliefs as her young age. As you'll see below, Hayley is beautiful on the outside, but it's her inner beauty that truly radiates through her!
